Well it's been a while since I shot a photo or did anything for Photograph of Days. Well I'm here to tell you I am making plans to start back on September 1st 2011. Yeah I know it's been a year but to be honest I have not had any motivation to shoot. So I think I am starting to feel the itch again. I need to get out there and shoot again. I have a friend who is doing a full year and in a way that is now inspiring me. So I am going to shoot Sept and October, we will have to see after that. If all goes well and I can find motivation and inspiration I may attempt to shoot all of 2012. Hey it could be a short year so why not.

Do you see the lion? This is about the only good shot I got at the St. Louis Zoo. It really was the least photogenic zoo I had been to.

I could spend all day shooting my grandparents fire place but I didn't. I only got a couple of shots and this is one of them.

So in the back of my grandparents property sits a few apple and other fruit trees. I got this shot of some apples on the ground and thought it turned out well. I also got a ton of other great shots that I will share soon.

I know it's been a few days since my last post. I didn't take any photos on the 28th and 29th as I was getting ready for our trip to Kansas. After a 14 hour drive we made it and where greeted with an amazing lightning storm passing to the north of where we where. I got a lot of great photos out of this shoot and will most more soon.

What feels like my first real photo attempt in days. I drove past this abandoned house on my way to another location decided to stop. Didn't have a lot of time but I got this great shot of the front door. Turned out really cool. One of my favorites so far.

Jodie saw these out back first thing this morning in one of our potted grasses. So after getting the yard mowed I took the opprotunity to take some HDR photos of them. Why am I shoot so much in HDR you ask? Two reasons. One I am trying to learn it better and two I can look really cool. More of the shrooms can be found here.

So this evening I was playing some music on the laptop. I decided to hook the laptop up to the TV and stereo and trow the visualizer up on the screen. The kids loved it and we had a blast all evening playing, watching and listening music. So it is the end of the day and no photo yet. So I wondered how it would look photographed with a time delay. OK, So today I saw several fire trucks tearing off out of town. After gassing up I decided to go check it out and see if I could get my photo of the day. Well I found it but it was way back down a private drive behind a house and you couldn't see much. I wasn't about to go down the drive to get the pic plus I had my kiddos with me. So I drove around on one of the surrounding roads and found this. So these are my photos for today and that's my story.

OK, There is a lot of new construction going on around our new hospital that is opening soon. So I went investigating and found a pond with fountains, water falls and bridges. Kind of cool. I took a few shots but sun was already high and the photos uninteresting. So this is the best one.

The black and white is the actual photo of the day but I also did an HDR version that tuned out pretty cool as well so I decided to post both of them.

After a very long time away I am back. Here is the first photo of the new Photo of the Day series. I'm going to try to take at least one photo everyday. It will be a challenge. I did this once before and I lasted a month. So lets see if I can do better this time.

Two years since I touched this site. I am not giving up on it yet though. One Photograph a day. I should be able to do that. I am at home with the kids now. I need to practice. So what is keeping me from a Photograph a day? Lazyness there I said it. Must try harder.
